4 trains on Norfolk Southern’s Huntington District 6-25-2026

An impromptu trip to the Wabash and Peru area on a Thursday evening netted me 4 trains on the former Wabash Railroad mainline. 181 gets us started in downtown Wabash with a solo ACe leading 29 cars. After 181 got into Peru, 36N and 120 were cleared to go east. 36N is seen at Miami County Road 550 East and 120 is viewed at 450 East. In Peru, 181 starts rolling west after a crew change as 148 rolls into town for a crew change. After sunset, we see 148 departing Peru crossing Paw Paw Pike. An NS Ace up front and a BNSF ACe in the middle make all the good sounds as it leads the landbarge into the night. Thanks for watching!
