Nottingham Goose Fair 2024: Review & Tips

Nottingham’s famous Goose Fair returns for 2024, what’s it actually like to visit this year? What dates is the fair on? What rides are attending? How much do they cost? Will I be able to go to the toilet? And what food and drink are on offer? The Goose Fair takes place from Friday 27 September to Sunday 6 October 2024 4pm to 10:30pm Mondays to Thursdays 4pm to 11pm Fridays 12 noon to 11pm on Saturdays 12 noon to 9pm on Sundays You’ll find the fair at the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham just slightly north of the city centre. The tram stop for the fair is ‘The Forest’ There’s free entry to the grounds and you pay per ride/attraction. I’d always recommend having cash for a fair, it ddid seem that most rides and food stalls were set up to take contactless / card payments. Theres even free toilets, practically the surfaces are car park and theres a raised metal deck on the grass section to avoid the worst of the potential muddy conditions! Rides seemed to be priced from £4 on our visit with the Waltzer, NYC taxi costing £4. £5 per car for dodgems, £6 for Top Scan and Equinox and an eye watering £15 for Aerospace! If you are visiting the 2024 Goose Fair I’d recommend the following tips; Set a budget so you don’t overspend when you get there Getting the money off coupons from the local newspapers or the visit Nottinghamshire website to save a few quid Take the tram to the forest, super easy to use What are your thoughts on the Goose Fair?
