HIROKO, real name Hiroko Minato (湊 広子) born on May 25, 1970, was a Japanese singer, who was active from 1988 to 1993, released a span of 4 albums (One In A Million, DANCE DANCE DANCE, Take Me Tonight, HIROKO) and multiple singles. Prior to debuting as a singer, she was an actress who played supporting roles. Eventually, her father, Kohei Minato (湊弘平), became a millionaire and wanted to support HIROKO's career, thus moving to California in 1988 to start her singing career. Although disappearing from the spotlight, it's rumoured she's still living a wealthy life in Tokyo as an 'ordinary' woman.
