Preserving Hong Kong's old building
There are four generations of tong lau or heritage buildings in Hong Kong. These shophouses used to line Hong Kong’s streets but few remain today. In this episode of Hong Kong Enquirer, we look at tong lau’s characteristics and discussion around them. We sought comments from government offices concerned for their perspective on the issue, but no official was available for an interview.
