SOP Vs MOP || Which is better form of Potash for Sugarcane || Crop Reformer

In this video, a brief comparison between MOP, SOP and Soluble potash has been drawn to make their difference clear. So that we can choose the proper form of potash fertilizer, which is more beneficial for plants. Sulphate of Potash (SOP) is frequently used as an important fertilizer in field crop production throughout the world. Canal irrigated area soils of Punjab have fairly good amount of available potash but intensive cropping pattern needs its supplementary use for better growth, resistance against pests, lodging and maximum production. Several types of SOP fertilizer are being marketed but farmers do not have comparative knowledge of these products. In this video, we have highlighted major difference between more soluble 25 kg and relatively less soluble 50 kg products of SOP. We have explained that there is not only difference of solubility but their preparation methods, variation in their refinedness, difference of availability to wheat/crops and their time of application are also different. Soluble SOP is more readily available than most forms of 50 kg SOP. Potash is one of the most important elements needed for better health, growth and development of plants. This is available in a large number of fertilizers and in the form of different formulations. But all the types of potash fertilizers are not equally effective because availability of potash is not same in all the compositions. Some are readily available while others are slow acting and give better results if used at time of sowing. But readily available forms are made for fast availability of this micro nutrient when needed at a specific growth stage of plant. #sop #CropReformer
