Ramp. https://cellecine.com/civilian/archival/ The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a large, long-range airliner produced by the Boeing company in the 1940s and 1950s. The Stratocruiser was developed as a more luxurious and advanced version of the company's successful B-29 bomber, and was designed to be used on long-distance flights, particularly transoceanic routes. The aircraft was first flown in 1947, and a total of 56 were built. The Stratocruiser featured a distinctive "double-decker" design, with a lower deck that contained the passenger cabin, and an upper deck that contained the cockpit and a lounge area. The aircraft was equipped with advanced technology and amenities for the time, including pressurized cabins, air conditioning, and sleeping berths. It was also one of the first commercial aircraft to feature a flight engineer's station, which would become standard on many large airliners. The Stratocruiser was used by several major airlines during the 1950s, including Pan American Airways, which operated the aircraft on its trans-Pacific routes. However, the introduction of newer and more efficient jet airliners in the late 1950s and early 1960s, such as the Boeing 707 and the Douglas DC-8, led to a decline in demand for the Stratocruiser and it was eventually phased out of commercial service. Despite its relatively short service life, the Stratocruiser was considered to be a very advanced and luxurious airliner during its time and had a reputation for being a favorite among passengers. #stockfootage #boeing #airliners #videoproduction #cinematography
