IDIOT PLOT 9: ¿Existe el SMART PLOT?

In this ninth installment of Idiot Plots, a new concept emerges that threatens to further complicate this series: the Smart Plot. What happens when a story progresses not because the characters are absurdly stupid, but because they seem much smarter than they should be? We analyze curious cases such as Sarah Connor saving humanity thanks to an irresponsible decision, Ariel forgetting she can write in The Little Mermaid, the monsters in A Quiet Place defeated by something no one seems to have ever tested, Earth's nonexistent defense in Star Trek Into Darkness, and the Night King behaving as if he wants to make the script's job easier. As always, we review examples submitted by you to discover when a story works thanks to the intelligence of its characters... and when it only works because everyone becomes an idiot at the same time. Leave your examples of Idiot Plots and Smart Plots in the comments. If it's a TV series, indicate the season and episode. If it's a movie, add the approximate minute. And remember: explain the case well. The more information you provide, the more likely it is to appear in a future video.
