HMS Howe – The Last British Battleship to See Combat
In today's video, we'll be looking at the final King George V-class battleship. HMS Howe, a ship often overshadowed by her sisters. Not quite to the same extent as Anson, admittedly, but still. When you have ships like Prince of Wales and Duke of York to compare to, it's perhaps unsurprising. However, Howe has some notable things of her own. She was the first modern British battleship in the Pacific since Prince of Wales sank. She endured relatively long in service, for a post-WW2 British battleship. And she managed to avoid any notable damage for her entire service. Not a bad run, all things being equal.
