The Realm of Sword and Snow Prototype Review — What I wanted out of Rising Sun

We review this behemoth of an area control, that has players being princes/princesses, with zombies! In this fictional Ancient China, they’ll be the threat of the undead from the North, while players squabble amongst themselves for the most divine points to become the next emperor. It takes a lot of Ameritrash ideas from games like Battlestar Galactica, but also feels heavily inspired by the areas controls of Game of Thrones/Blood Rage. And games take place over very long years, in which it’ll progress from Spring to harvest and form alliances, all the way to winter to fight miniature zombies! With card drafting for your combat hand, as well as losing some combats to gain points, Eric M. Lang’s influence feels big in this tabletop game. If you play the semi-cooperative element right, you can trigger the bad ending and profit from it!
