Diferença entra a dieta Enteral e Parenteral, de quem é a responsabilidade?

Parenteral nutrition (PN) is a method of administering nutrients directly into a vein when nutrients cannot be obtained through normal diet. This type of nutrition is used when a person's gastrointestinal tract no longer functions properly, which is most often the case in critically ill patients, such as those with advanced stomach or intestinal cancer. There are two main types of parenteral nutrition: Partial parenteral nutrition: only certain types of nutrients and vitamins are administered intravenously; Total parenteral nutrition (TPN): all types of nutrients and vitamins are administered intravenously.
