Fixing a Major Transmission Leak on a 1986 Chevrolet C-10 In this episode we diagnose and repair a transmission leak on a 1986 Chevy C-10 pickup truck. We discover broken parts and missing threads in the speedometer sending unit housing which resulted in a big leak. We also did quite a bit of other work off-camera but the focus of this project was the transmission issues. Among those other items were several stripped out transmission pan bolt holes (we fixed them as best we could for now), broken spark plugs and reversed plug wires. In the end we were able to tackle most of the problems but still have a few things left on the list, albeit minor issues.
