Posterior Urethral distraction defect stricture urethra : Urethroplasty

Fall from height - Road traffic accident that leads to fracture of pelvic bones leads to distraction defect of the posterior urethra - a trauma that leads to disruption of the posterior urethra and a subsequent stricture urethra with resultant fibrosis . Patients of the posterior urethral stricture have temporary urinary diversion named Suprapubic cystostomy while the stricture matures amidst healing fractures and haematoma stabilising towards final urethroplasty.Posterior Urethral distraction strictures repair; the urethroplasty via perineal route is to establish the continuity of the passage that has been disrupted and supported by SPC. Need for concerted action towards stable final results.
