2 meses buscando minha proxima vaga (dev 2026)
🎮 Practice programming in a gamified way on DevSimulator: 👉 https://devsimulator.dev Back with the 2026 job search saga. In the last video I talked about the May processes, which were good. Let me warn you: June was a mess. There won't be any good news in this one, but I think it's important to show both sides of the journey. What happened in June: I continued the Healthtech (.NET + React + AWS) process that I had started in May. I passed the second phase, a very technical interview with two tech leads (pattern design, architecture, my deliverables, AI features). The recruiter confirmed they liked it a lot and even started talking about salary. And then the company was bought by another. Hiring freeze, position put on hold, no offer. This is the third process that died like this for me (the two layoffs I experienced were also due to acquisitions). It's a pattern: I pass the interviews, but the positions disappear due to holdings or acquisitions. I also explain something important about the Irish market: there are two "hiring seasons" (April/May and September). I caught the good one in May, and June/July/August tend to be weak. That's why my expectations for July aren't high either. And no, I didn't apply for any new positions in June on purpose. I'll make a specific video explaining my strategy and why I don't apply like crazy. While the market is weak, I'm focusing on my projects: the DevSimulator and I've gone back to developing my game. For anyone going through something similar or looking for their first job: the market is really tough, I won't lie. But the world has its ups and downs, and those who persevere get there. 👇 Are you looking for a job too?
