[TOP 2] Amethyst // Frame Counter & Hitboxes

00:00 Normal Showcase 02:04 Hitbox Showcase Whether Amethyst or Thinking Space II is harder is a topic of constant discussion. The former was verified by wPopoff, the latter by Zoink. Both believe their verification is the harder of the two. Pointercrate's guidelines (the demonlist) allow the removal of Amethyst's CBF blocker for submissions, but not for TS2. This is due to a controversial rule stating that blockers added in reverification, even before any victors, may be removed, whereas blockers in the initial verification cannot. The timing of the rule, added right when Amethyst's blocker came out, raised suspicions of bias, adding to the controversy. As such, Zoink beat Amethyst with CBF, whereas Popoff didn't. The claimed attempt counts are as such: Zoink: Amethyst 50k, TS2 83k wPopoff: Amethyst 110k+, TS2 35k The discrepancy is enormous and it is obvious that CBF and verifier bias played a huge role in it. From raw frame data, Amethyst appears to be the harder level in vanilla physics, thus the hardest level ever verified, but the demonlist happens to rule in TS2's favor. When more victors appear, the proper placement will reveal itself. Nonetheless, both levels are unfathomably difficult and there is no intention to diminish either player. Worth noting that a few timings have a variable amount of possible frames, dependent on previous clicks. In those cases, the average value is considered. Frame alignment may also rarely influence the amount of frames available for an input.
