砂の美術館★第14期展示 砂で世界旅行 ・エジプト編　紹介ムービー

世界各国の砂像彫刻家が制作した砂像を展示する美術館「砂の美術館」 ほぼ毎年テーマをかえて展示を行っています。 砂像の材料は砂と水だけ。 展示が終わればすべてに砂に戻し、 同じ砂を使用して新たな作品を制作しています。 2022年～2023年は、第14期展示 砂で世界旅行・エジプト編を開催中🐫 展示テーマ：第14期「砂で世界旅行・エジプト編」 会期：2022年7月30日（土）～2024年1月3日(水)　 ※ 上記期間のうち、2023年1月10日～2月28日はメンテナンスのため休館 ■営業時間： 　平日・日曜　9:00～17:00（最終入館16:30） 　土曜日　　　9:00～18:00（最終入館17:30） This is an introduction video of the 14th exhibition Egypt. The concept of the Sand Museum is traveling around the world in sand. Each year, a new theme is chosen for a year-long exhibition. (This year's exhibition will be a long- run of 18 months until January 2024). The theme of 2022-2023's 14th Exhibition is "Travel Around the World in Sand - Egypt". Egypt was chosen because the year 2022 marks the centennial of both Egyptian independence and the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb. Sand sculptures are carved into massive blocks of sand which have been made by compressing sand and water. No glue or any other kinds of coagulants are used during or after the work is completed. Once the exhibition period ends, everything is destroyed and returned to the sand. Then the following year, the same sand is used for creating new works of art.
