SAUTI MUHIMU - VITAL VOICES FROM LAMU: A 2011 PRODUCTION

Directed by Khamis Ramadhan, Sauti Muhimu uses voices of the local Lamu County population to poignantly capture the issues that lie at the centre of progress and development in the archipelago. The documentary was used to promote citizen engagement on issues of governance, development, social equity, leadership and environment in 13 towns (Mangai, Faza, Siyu, Mokowe, Mpeketoni, Matondoni, Lamu, Kiunga, Mkokoni, Kizingitini, Mkunumbi, Witu and Shela) in the Lamu County in November/December 2011.
