Some of the illustrations in this episode were generated using tools based on artificial intelligence algorithms. For me, this was the best way to faithfully—and accurately—represent the type of architecture and landscapes that obsess and haunt my mind. Using AI is never a neutral act; but when it comes to exploring the imagination in service of a narrative—in other words, when the tool remains in service—I personally consider its use perfectly acceptable. I would add that if you balk at a few generated images (carefully and tastefully, no less), good luck with your epistemological and cognitive survival for the next thirty years. You are not prepared for what is about to hit us head-on. As for my artist friends: I love you, and frankly, I have no doubt that you have better things to do than paint my little planet forty times over.
