UNESCO chief: Peng Liyuan meeting was “important and moving”

Madame Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, spoke at the UN's Global Education First Initiative event on Saturday during UN’s Sustainable Development Summit, saying that her Chinese dream is for all children, especially girls, will have access to a good education. In an exclusive interview with CCTV, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, who shared with Peng her opinion about the importance of education for women and girls, said that it was important and moving to meet with Peng, especially when Peng talked about her personal story.
