The new CITROEN C3 is truly a departure from the previous generation, which sold incredibly well. IMPORTANT: Some people have noted the fog lights and other optional extras, but they weren't offered these when ordering. We forwarded this report to the Citroen press office, which clarified that the C3 you see in this test (and which, in some cases, was also delivered to other dealerships) is still a pre-production model, albeit practically final, destined for Northern European markets. Therefore, both fog lights and heated seats will not be available on the new C3s on sale in Italy. Where, however, the electric version will be available to order, while the CITROEN C3 tested here has a gasoline engine (without any electrification): under the hood is the third-generation 1.2-liter PureTech 3-cylinder turbo engine, which uses a chain instead of an oil-bath belt for timing. With 100 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque, the CITROEN C3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds and has a claimed fuel consumption of 5.7 liters per 100 km. The seats are comfortable, the dashboard is innovative with a head-up display, and the steering wheel is small (but you have to like it).
