This is Kwangmanito from Manimani~^^ This time, we visited Musuok, a butcher shop located in Dobong-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul. This restaurant has been beloved for 80 years since 1943, and is considered the pride of Dobong-gu and the "Legend of Gangbuk Seolleongtang." The restaurant is now run by the first-generation grandmother, the second-generation daughter, and now the son-in-law, now in his third generation. It's said that anyone who visits Dobongsan Mountain must dine at Musuok at least once. The name Musuok comes from the village next to the restaurant, Musugol, which means "nothing" (無) and "worry" (愁). It's said to mean "no worries" (無). I, too, was able to completely immerse myself in the food, free from any worries or concerns, just as I did when I was eating. The seolleongtang (ox bone soup), with its thick, creamy broth and generous portions of meat, was exquisite. The boiled pork, which initially seemed tender but then melted into a rich, chewy texture, was also delicious. I also tried the yukhoe bibimbap and yukhoe (raw beef). Even though I'm not usually a fan of yukhoe (raw beef), I was surprised by how delicious it was. It was the best yukhoe I've ever had. Because this restaurant only uses Korean beef, the meat was incredibly fresh. While the food wasn't cheap, I felt it was well worth the price. True to its long-standing reputation, the owner and staff were friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience.
