Cycle around Glasgow on a summer evening

This is a video of me cycling towards and along great western road from Cowcaddens road turning down Byres road then back towards Glasgow. It's a route I love to do in the summer evenings when it's nice outside and I've got an hour to spare. It's really great cycling along Great western road into the sun but it would be so much more enjoyable on a segregated cycle lane. I do have a look at the progress of the work currently underway of the new cycling infrastructure at the bottom of byres road. Also some shots of the journey from above and some of the prominent buildings along the way. There is so much to take in at this part of the city and it always feels more relaxing to travel around on foot. When I get to the transport museum the riverside festival is getting set up for the weekend and there is a nice vibe going on around the museum with people skating and hanging out listening to music. I have a mumble about the bridge that's being built here to connect to Govan and how it could change the balance of the area but the bridge will bring more positives than negatives. Another reason for this video is that hopefully I can revisit this route in a few years time making another video when there is more infrastructure along it and it is safer to cycle. I hope you enjoy this video and safe cycling. #drone
