Never be fooled again when buying your Sandisk memory card: • COMO SABER SE UM CARTÃO DE MEMÓRIA É FALSO... What is the best memory card for your GoPro, Drone and cell phone? What is the ideal card for filming in 4k or even 5k without problems? I'll tell you all the secrets in this video and you'll definitively understand all the letters and numbers that appear on microSD memory cards to make the right choice without wasting time and money! It's pointless to buy expensive equipment like a GoPro or a drone and use a poor-quality memory card. Invest in good memory cards too! The GoPro HERO 9 itself costs over R$3,000, and to use its full capacity you have to get the microSD card right. The most recommended microSD brand here in Brazil is Sandisk, and it's the one we use most often. Sandisk is also the easiest to find. Another recommended brand is Lexar. We also really like this brand and use Lexar SD cards in this Sony camera that's filming me now. We bought ours in the United States, and they're not so easy to find here in Brazil. And they're not cheap either! And there's the Samsung brand, which GoPro itself also recommends. When in doubt, go with Sandisk. It's the brand with the most options on the market, easy to find, and with excellent support and warranty. Choosing just any memory card, or even opting for a fake one simply because it's cheaper, can cause many problems with your GoPro, drone, and cell phone. Problems such as: not being able to record in 4K and 5K, not being able to use slow-motion options (with more FPS), you may lose the information on your card, your GoPro and drone may freeze, the equipment may overheat, and it may use much more battery power than normal. When the GoPro overheats, for example, and you use a waterproof case or a dome, the lens may fog up more easily. And of course, it can damage your camera! The three pieces of information you need to pay attention to in a memory card are: the write speed, the read speed, and its storage capacity. The card's read speed isn't something you need to worry about. What really matters is the write speed and the memory card's capacity. There are 3 classes of recording speeds for cards: Speed Class, UHS Class (Ultra High Speed Class), and Video Speed Class (also known as VClass). The SanDisk Speed Class card is red and gray and can record at speeds from 2 MB/s to 10 MB/s. The speed here is always in Megabytes, not Megabits. These cards record in HD or Full HD at a maximum of 60 FPS and cannot record in 4K. GoPro itself only recommends cards from Class 10 onwards, meaning they record at a minimum speed of at least 10 MB/s. Then comes the UHS Class card, which is red and gold. This one records at 10 MB/s or 30 MB/s and can be U1 or U3. This type of card is known as SanDisk Extreme or Extreme PRO. These cards can shoot in 4K, in slow motion with higher FPS, and can be used in some drones, but for the GoPro Hero 8 and 9, I really prefer the VClass. And lastly, we have the VClass model with the V6, V10, V30, V60, and V90 options. Remember that V90 means a minimum recording speed of 90MB/s. This type of card, like the UHS Class, is also known as Extreme or Extreme PRO. The Extreme PRO A2 line is Sandisk's top-of-the-line. For me, Extreme PRO cards are ideal for your GoPro Hero 8, 9, and drones that shoot in 2K or 4K. This type of card can also shoot in 5K on the Hero 9. I've tested it and it works very well! The V60 and V90 can record up to 8K, but I've never tested that and for the current reality, I think it's overkill. The 5K from GoPro isn't anything special, but I talk about that in another video on this channel. If you have a GoPro Hero, GoPro recommends a minimum Class 10 card, but honestly, for the latest GoPro versions, I recommend the Extreme PRO. If you have a GoPro Hero up to the 6, you can opt for a UHS Class (Ultra High Speed Class) card. Recording quality isn't directly related to card capacity, but you have to choose a card size that suits your needs. If you're going on a trip and want to record your vacation, I recommend at least 64GB or even 128GB. A card that's too small isn't worth it for me, and anything more than 128GB is excessive and too expensive. #sandiskmicrosdcard #sandiskmemorycard #originalsandiskcard #sandiskcard #memorycard #microsdcard #sandisk
