Pat Martino Activity 3 Line Study

Activity 3 is where the root notes lie on SG 25 (String Group 2 + 5) It is a very interesting area on the guitar and a very creative place to play lines from! In this video we will also look at how to improvise over an E7#9#5 chord using the Pat Martino lines. So in that example we will play F minor over E. Specifically F Melodic minor which equates to E Superlocrian with degrees R, b2 #2, 3, b5, #5, b7. We will also look at improvising over a D minor 7b5 chord. On this chord we would be playing the F Melodic minor scale equating to the D Aeolian b5 scale with degrees R, 2, b3, 4, b5,, b6, b7.
