MONTE BARBESTON da Bellecombe (Châtillon)

We parked near the little church of Bellecombe, where trail no. 2 to Mount Barbeston begins. The first section is on a dirt road to the village of Mont Ros, where the trail begins to a pass. We took the path on the left that led us to Mont Lyan, where there is a splendid view of the central valley and the surrounding mountains. After a short break, we descended again to the pass and then followed the trail to Mount Barbeston. When we reached the Black Madonna, we finally had a "food" break (we really needed it!!!) For the descent, we followed the same path as the ascent! A highly recommended hike, but requires some fitness as the elevation gain is considerable!!!
