Aston Martin Vantage Roadster 2022 review: old school drop-top madness

Losing the roof hasn't taken the edge off Aston's entry-level top-sport sports car, and it's new face makes it one of the best looking cars it sells. It's certainly got the numbers to grab your attention. Up front is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that you find in the coupe (as well as a bunch of AMG products, too). It's rated at 510hp, with power being sent to the rear axle through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Find a short stretch of road and it'll go from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds, which is only 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe. That's in spite of carrying around an extra 60kg courtesy of the folding roof system.
