Honorary doctorate for renowned Setswana broadcaster, Easy Matjila
Renowned broadcaster and former SABC newsreader Masego Ezekiel "Easy" Matjila will receive an honorary doctorate from the North-West University in Mahikeng earlier this week. This is in recognition of his contribution to promoting and preserving the Setswana language. Matjila began his career over 30 years ago, as a presenter for Radio Setswana, which later became Motsweding FM. His exceptional broadcasting skills and language proficiency resulted in his appointment as a Setswana sports commentator and an SABC prime-time news presenter.
