Flying into Narsarsuaq Greenland on a clear day

Last 10 minutes of flight into Narsarsuaq Airport in southern Greenland. Recorded July 26, 2016 about 6pm on Air Iceland flight NY 465 (for anyone who wants to track the flight path). There were lots of smiling passengers by the time we landed. From above, you get a sense of the glaciers flowing. The geology of the area is famous. People visiting Narsaq and the Ilimaussaq complex (not far to the southwest) use this airport. Erik the Red's farm, Brattahlid (modern Qassiarsuk), can be seen across the Tunulliarfik fjord from the end of the runway. This video doesn't show it well but it's there across the water. Leif Erikson, Erik's son, grew up there and perhaps cast off from there on his journey to North America.
