I Added a 5th Toolhead to My Toolchanger (Was It Worth It?)

Thanks to PCBWay for sponsoring this video! Check them out at https://www.pcbway.com/ I finally upgraded my toolchanger from 4 toolheads to 5! In this video I show the entire process of adding a fifth toolhead to my custom toolchanger printer, including dock modifications, toolhead assembly, CAN bus wiring, firmware flashing, calibration, reliability testing, and the first real 5-color print. To make room for the additional toolhead, I redesigned and modified the dock system to be more space efficient, assembled a new MadMax plate, installed and configured a new EBB36 board, and recalibrated the entire machine from scratch. After passing a 50-cycle dock reliability test, it was finally time to put the upgrade to work with a full 5-color print. The result? More colors, more material combinations, and even more possibilities for future experiments.
