Long-term test! Suzuki Swift Hybrid 2025 review: Is this new city car better than the next-gen MG3?

The 2025 Suzuki Swift represents the fourth generation of the popular light hatchback, but times have changed since the model debuted in September 2024. Point being, the Australian new-car market is as price competitive as it has even been, especially with the influx of new Chinese brands. Also, hybrids are all the rage now. So, it's good a thing, then, that the new Swift is still keenly priced, even with the addition of electrification. But make no mistake, while it may be called the Swift Hybrid, the new city car is actually a mild hybrid and not a full hybrid like what the rivalling MG3 and Toyota Yaris offer. That said, it's claimed fuel consumption on the combined-cycle test is just as good, if not better.
