Why I Rank ISTPs High On My Tier Lists

In this video, I explain why I rank ISTPs high on a lot of my MBTI tier lists — and why that is not the same thing as ego, arrogance, or bias. ISTPs are a competency-based type. We are naturally wired to break things down, build skills, adapt, master tools, solve problems, and become good at a wide range of things when we actually focus on them. That does not make ISTPs superior to other types, but it does mean there are a lot of categories where ISTPs realistically rank high. Some people think humility means pretending you are not good at anything, but that is not real humility. Being honest about your strengths is not arrogance. If another type ranks high at something they are naturally good at, people accept it. But when a sensor type, especially an ISTP, ranks high, suddenly people act like it is bias. This video is about confidence, honesty, sensor bias, ISTP strengths, and why I am not going to fake humility just to make people comfortable.
