Level check methods: 1) Warm up the engine until the cooling fans turn on once!!! (This won't be audible from inside the car; it's best to have a partner check it.) 2) Turn off the engine, start the stopwatch on your phone, and wait 60 seconds. 3) Then, within 30 seconds (that is, from the 61st to the 90th second after turning off the engine!), check the oil level on the dipstick several times – it should be between the HOT marks.
