FX・FSXの折り畳み方法

This video explains how to fold and unfold the FX and FSX front double models equipped with Tyrell's original column clamp. (The instructions are for drop models, but the same procedure applies to flat handlebars.) ◤Please Note◢ FX models from the 2025 model year (shipping from July 2025 onwards) are equipped with a new stem (TWIST-SDS). (From 00:15) Check the Crank Position Set the right crank so that it points downward and is parallel to the seat tube. 2. (From 00:28) Check the Chain Position Set the chain on the inner side for the front and the second position from the lowest gear for the rear. 3. (From 00:48) Release the Seat Stay Quick Release and Lower the Seat Stay After releasing the seat stay quick release and removing the safety pin, remove and lower the seat stay. 4. (From 00:54) Secure the Seat Stay Secure the removed seat stay to the chain stay. 5. (From 01:07) Folding the Rear Wheel Lift the frame and slowly fold the rear wheel, rotating it toward the front wheel. {Caution} If the chain gets caught on the front derailleur and locks it, return it to its original position and try again. 6. (From 01:27) Securing the Rear Wheel After pulling the chainstay up to the bottom of the downtube, insert the safety pin to secure it. 7. (From 01:41) Folding and Securing the Front Fork Press and pull the center button of the safety pin to loosen the knob on the front fork. Turn the handlebars to the right and bend the fork backwards 90 degrees, then press and hold the center button of the safety pin and insert it back into the original hole. 8. (From 02:04) Rotating the Stem After pulling the handlebars out of the column clamp, loosen the stem bolt with the included tool. Then rotate the handlebars 90 degrees to the right. After rotating, insert the column clamp handle back into the hole. {Caution} Always loosen the bolts gradually, alternating between three steps. ◤Caution◢ FX models from 2025 (shipping July 2025) onward are equipped with a new stem (TWIST-SDS). (From 03:04) Pushing Down the Seat Post Loosen the double seat clamp and push down the seat post. When loosening the seat clamp, operate the levers from top to bottom, and when locking, operate them from bottom to top. ※[Important] Precautions when folding When folding the rear wheel, it has been reported that the rear wheel may occasionally lock up due to the chain getting caught on the guide plate with certain front derailleurs. If you try to fold the rear wheel in this state, excessive force will be applied to the derailleur itself, and in the worst case scenario, the front derailleur may be damaged. When folding the rear wheel, be sure to proceed slowly to ensure the chain is not caught and locked. If the rear wheel does become locked, do not force the fold. Instead, return the rear wheel to its original position and try again. ■ Tips for Unfolding Unfolding is basically the reverse of the above steps. However, please pay attention to the following two points. 1. Braking when Unfolding the Rear Wheel When unfolding the rear wheel, be sure to apply the rear brake. 2. Check the Position of the Chain when Unfolding the Rear Wheel When unfolding the rear wheel, it is rare that the chain may get caught on the front outer chainring (see video). If this happens, do not try to fold it forcibly. Instead, return the rear wheel to its original position and try again. (If you forcefully fold the rear wheel, excessive force will be applied to the derailleur itself, and in the worst case scenario, the front derailleur may be damaged.)
