Several Israeli politicians and citizens have reacted angrily to the peace agreement with Lebanon. The agreement, signed on Friday (June 26, 2026), also resulted in 20 percent of Lebanon being occupied by Israel indefinitely. Shortly after the agreement was reached, the Israeli military, Tzahal, announced an attack on Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon, on Sunday (June 8, 2026). Meanwhile, the day before, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his speech, claimed the agreement would hit Iran and Hezbollah.
