Mental hospital of Rauha was founded in the location of a burnt down bathhouse in 1926. In 1950's it was one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in Finland. It was closed in 2000. In the area there has been 11 hospital buildings, of which most are renovated as part of hotel and spa or demolished.
