How to Use the Centre Find or Half Function on a Digital Readout Display Console DRO
A guide to using the workpiece centre find function on a machine tool digital readout display console. A edge finder either mechanical or optical is used to locate on one edge of the workpiece that is held in a vice or bolted to the machine table. After setting the display to zero, locate the edge finder on the opposite edge and press half key to give centre location. This function is the same operation as found on Sino SDS6-2V, Sino SDS6-3V and Easson ES-8A and ES-10 display consoles.
