Comparing the new women's Osprey Fairview / Farpoint 40L with the Osprey Porter 46L ? Both bags are carry-on size and compact. The Fairview is really is 40L and anything packed in the exterior electronics section needs to be flat as it causes the bag to be bulky. The bag is not forgiving at all. The Porter 46L has a little extra space but because of the design of the bag, you can squeeze a few more items in.
