Shchedryk - Maryna Voznyuk - piano

I wish to all of us a Happy New (Every) Moment of this Generous Life ! I'm happy to share with you my arrangement of the most famous Christmas / New Year song - "shchedrivka" - in the world. "Shchedryk" became popular 100 years ago in United States. Initially arranged by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych (1877-1921), this song is based on a traditional folk chant whose language was thought to have magical properties. The original traditional Ukrainian text used a device known as hemiola in the rhythm (alternating the accents within each measure from 3/4 to 6/8 and back again). I propose you these magical melody, piano solo, using a 4/4 rythm. Enjoy. Slava Ukraïni ! PS: "shchedryi" in Ukrainian means "generous".
