Why friendships in college feel closer than they really are...
College has a way of making friendships feel closer than they actually are. When you see someone every single day, it’s easy to assume that the proximity you share equates to connection. This is unfortunately not the case. Familiarity is not the same thing as connection, and confusing the two can leave you feeling unseen, replaceable, and emotionally drained. In this video, I talk about why proximity gets mistaken for real friendship in college/ early adulthood. I will talk about how this happens and what to do about it. This video aims to help identify and navigate this very real issue that affects so many young people in college. If you have ever found yourself feeling unimportant in a friendship based on convenience, this video is for you. This video aims to help create better boundaries for you and your friends which will ultimately help everyone. I’d love to hear your thoughts about the video, and I read all of my comments! I enjoy implementing humor into my short-form content, but I want to make intentional and purposeful content on a long-form platform (here) about my experience. I believe that I have value to contribute coming from my own experiences, and I would love to share my story and offer advice to anyone in my position. I love finding community anywhere I can, and I believe the internet is an amazing place to find new solutions and friends. ~ Links: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@e.mmagrac.e?l...
