Cuba : la prochaine cible de Trump ?

Following the kidnapping of the Venezuelan president, Cuba has become Trump's new target, and he fears a military operation. For months, the American president has been making increasingly hostile statements and promising military aggression, asserting that the communist island continues to represent an "extraordinary threat" to US national security. Amid an economic crisis, Cuba denies the claims of Marc Rubio, who maintains that there is no "oil blockade per se." Cuba has not received oil from Venezuela for four months. What is the economic and humanitarian situation after months of blockade? Is a military operation conceivable? Who are Cuba's allies? We discuss this with Romuald Sciora, French-American essayist, director of the IRIS Political and Geostrategic Observatory of the United States and author of "America 250: A Graphic History of the United States" (Point Nemo); Jean-Baptiste Thomas, lecturer at École Polytechnique, member of the scientific council of the Institute of the Americas and co-author with Thomas Posado of "Revolutions in Cuba: From 1868 to the Present Day" (Syllepse); and Christophe Ventura, journalist at Le Monde Diplomatique, research director at IRIS, head of the Latin America and Caribbean program, co-author of "De-Westernization: Rethinking the World Order" (Agone) and author of the article "Cuba So Alone" published in Le Monde Diplomatique. 🔴 To stay up-to-date on all political and parliamentary news, subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/publicse... 👉 Our website: http://www.publicsenat.fr ▶️ Watch all our replays: https://www.publicsenat.fr/replay 📬 Subscribe to our newsletter: https://bit.ly/NewslettersPublicSenat 🚀 Follow us on social media: Facebook:   / publicsenat   X:   / publicsenat   Instagram:   / publicsenat   LinkedIn:   / 2996809   Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/publicsenat.fr Threads: https://www.threads.net/@publicsenat TikTok:   / publicsenat
