No, it is never acceptable to smash a picture of Roza e Rasool (SAWW) to the ground. No matter what the artistic needs of a drama may have been at the time, it is never acceptable. Geo Entertainment has crossed a sacred line that has no place in the law of Pakistan or in the heart of any Muslim. For that reason, The Revivalists and the Nazriya Pakistan Movement have decided to relentlessly pursue every legal avenue against this channel. For context, they showed a scene in their drama named Zabt, Episode 20, in which an actress, in a state of distress, picked up an Islamic book displaying a picture of Masjid e Nabawi and smashed it onto the floor. It was filmed from angles that ensured viewers could clearly see what she was doing. We call upon the people of Pakistan to join us in this noble cause, where our strength lies in the law of the land. We do not believe in violence, and we do not believe in extremism. But we firmly believe that Geo Entertainment displayed extreme behaviour in this case, and it will be responded to through lawful means.
