Compound Turbos Install on 1984 Chevy K5 Blazer with a 4BT Cummins

What happens when you take a 1984 Chevy K5 Blazer CUCV, bring it back to its diesel roots, and add compound turbos to a Cummins 4BT? In this video we walk through the installation of the Diesel Power Source 4BT Compound Turbo Kit on Austin Lassen’s incredible Blazer build. This truck started life as a military CUCV with a 6.2L diesel, but somewhere along the way the original engine was removed and replaced with a small block Chevy 350 and TH400 transmission. Austin decided to take the truck back to what it should have always been — a diesel-powered K5 Blazer. The result is an awesome Cummins 4BT swap, built from a used engine that originally came out of a wood chipper. Austin rebuilt the engine piece by piece and paired it with a 47RH transmission from a 1994–1995 Dodge 12-valve and an NP205 transfer case. Now it’s time to take things to the next level with compound turbos.
