Coming into this fight, he had two consecutive victories over two world-class wrestlers – ADCC champion Jeff Monson and Olympic judo champion Satoshi Ishii. Now, Fedor would face a man who epitomized the striking style. Pedro "The Rock" Rizzo, nicknamed "The Rock," began his career back in 1996 and has since fought in the world's top promotions, including the UFC and Pride, against some of the most legendary fighters of various eras. He was known for his devastating striking technique – most of his victories came via knockout or technical knockout. Throughout his career, Rizzo was never subjected to a submission or choke. His kickboxing record stood at 31 wins in 33 fights, 30 of which were by knockout!
