Todo sobre "el Monasterio que se Convirtió en Campo de Batalla" Museo Nacional de las Intervenciones
The former Churubusco convent still bears the marks left by bullets on its walls during a legendary battle between the Mexican and American armies, an important testament to national history. The convent dates back to the early 16th century, when Franciscan missionaries settled there and established a center of evangelization. The Discalced Franciscans began building a small church and a house next to it in the 1530s.
