Chang'an Street is a major urban road in Beijing, China, running east to west through the urban center of the capital. It is also one of the famous streets in China's history. In a narrow sense, the east end of Chang'an Street starts at Dongdan Intersection and the west end stops at Xidan Intersection, with a total length of 3.8 kilometers. Chang'an Street is well-known both at home and abroad for its location in the center of Beijing, its long history, and the numerous national celebrations held along its length. It is known as "Ten Mile Long Street" and "capital of China".
