Do Pocinho ao Tua - Rear cab ride

In this video, I invite you to travel along the magnificent Douro Line, between the stations of Pocinho and Tua, from a rather unusual perspective — filmed from the last carriage of InterRegional train 866. Throughout the journey, the River Douro accompanies us between steep slopes and vineyards, revealing landscapes of outstanding beauty. Although the section to Barca d’Alva remains closed, there seems to be political will to reopen it — even if the works have yet to begin. Until then, the service as far as Pocinho keeps the spirit of this historic line alive, serving local communities every day and, increasingly, the many travellers who come to experience the charm of the Douro by rail.
