Battle on the Ice: Downfall of the Livonian Order (Part II)

The Battle on the Ice, also known as Battle on Lake Peipus, was a heavy defeat for the Livonian Brothers of the Sword. This victory of the Republic of Novgorod ended the ambitions of the Livonians in the East and they headed south. Conflicts with the newly established Polish-Lithuanian state rose and Denmark and later Muscovy and Russia also playing a role, you had a dynamic situation. The (kind of) fusion with the Teutonic Order changed things.
