Experience the incredible atmosphere of Women's Carnival Day 2026 (German: Weiberfastnacht) in Cologne (German: Köln)! In this video, I'll take you on an unedited walking tour right through the heart of Cologne's street carnival. It's the start of the five carnival days where the city turns into a streetparty. We start at Rudolfplatz and walk along the Ring and Roonstrasse, heading straight into the hustle and bustle of Zülpicher Strasse. This year it was incredibly crowded again; it's a miracle I even made it through security. The walk continues through the throngs of people to Barbarossaplatz and finally ends at Luxemburger Straße/Eifelwall. I had originally planned to film in Cologne's Old Town starting at 11:00 AM, this is THE carnival hotspot of the city, but it was raining too hard at that time. I ended up filming at lunchtime on my way to work.
