🌱 I Built a 3-Way Natural Aquarium Filter! (Pothos Bog System)

🌿 DIY OVERHEAD POTHOS BOG FILTRATION SYSTEM 🌿 In this video, I show how I built a natural overhead pothos bog filter using potted pothos plants, natural soil, and a mini aeration irrigation system. This setup creates a powerful 3-way filtration system that helps improve water quality naturally while adding a living ecosystem above the aquarium. ✅ BENEFICIAL BACTERIA FILTRATION The coarse soil and root zone provide massive surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, helping process fish waste and maintain biological stability. ✅ MECHANICAL FILTRATION As water trickles through the pots, fine debris and suspended particles become trapped within the soil, helping polish the water naturally. ✅ NITRATE REMOVAL + OXYGEN EXCHANGE Pothos roots absorb nitrates directly from the water while the constant trickle effect increases oxygen exchange and water movement. This system is simple, efficient, low maintenance, and can be adapted to aquariums, predator fish tanks, grow-out systems, and even ponds. Current Benefits: 🌱 Natural nitrate reduction 🌱 Increased biological filtration 🌱 Additional oxygen exchange 🌱 Living ecosystem filtration 🌱 Low-cost DIY setup 🌱 Helps improve overall water quality If you’re interested in creating a more natural, self-sustaining aquarium system, this is a great filtration method to add to your setup. 👍 Like 💬 Comment 🔔 Subscribe for more aquarium builds, predator fish content, filtration ideas, and DIY projects. #Aquarium #BogFilter #Pothos #PothosFilter #DIYFilter #AquariumPlants #PredatorFish #FishTank #NaturalFiltration #Aquascape #AquariumLife #MonsterFish #FishKeeping
