「てげ」「どんげ？」ってナニ？　インドネシア出身の特定技能外国人が宮崎弁に挑戦！（宮崎県日南市）

"Tege," "Donge?", "Achii~"... Do you know the meaning of these Miyazaki dialect words? This time, foreign workers in Nichinan challenged themselves to learn not only work-related language but also local dialect. At Yoshida Sangyo, a company that processes and manufactures wood, a Japanese language training session was held, and 11 foreign workers from Indonesia with specified skills participated. Some had been with the company for as long as a month. They usually work on wood processing and product manufacturing. Foreign workers with Specified Skills No. 1, aged 19 to 30, can work in Japan for a maximum of five years, and Yoshida Sangyo supports local manufacturing through annual contract renewals. They had been studying Japanese before coming to Japan, and this time they learned about workplace communication and business manners. "When greeting someone, make eye contact." And at the end of the training, there was a "Miyazaki dialect lesson" unique to the local area. "Tege" means very "Donge?" means how is it? "Achii~" means hot "Totemo samui" means very cold? We learned words that local people use casually every day. Finally, we presented the results of our practice. We had a conversation using: "Donge shita to?" "My stomach hurts really badly." "Nani tabeta to?" "I don't know..." We asked them about their impressions of the experience and their future goals. ▽Alex (23 years old): "I've never studied Miyazaki dialect before, so I learned something new today. Everyone here is so kind, so I want to study Japanese even harder." ▽Arim (26 years old): "I was able to learn honorifics, and it's really interesting.
