Estrada Real de Glaura a Santo Antônio do Leite

Glaura will remain in our memory, as will the kindness of Dona Ailza, who hosted us in her home. Now we are leaving, heading towards the next city on the Royal Road. There will be no walking today; we took two buses and arrived in Santo Antônio do Leite. We didn't have anywhere to sleep, but we had food to eat and the history of Santo Antônio do Leite told by a local resident. We thought we would have to camp until Mr. Geraldo welcomed us to his inn, and of course, we're going to buy some pasta to cook—the typical backpacker food. We were very well received in Leite.
